I had quite a long stay (3 weeks). The hotel is not that remarkable in itself as it is a little older than some but what it lacks in modern architecture it makes up for in the friendliness, helpfulness and genuine care shown by the staff. I felt I was in good hands the whole time and they went out of their way to make my stay pleasant and safe. I was not well when I arrived and they found me a local doctor; they guided me to places I would not ordinarily have visited and I enjoyed once in a lifetime experiences that were 'priceless'. I have no hesitation in recommending a stay at the Buddha they made me feel very special...and ask about their other 'secret' businesses, worth the adventure.

Terrifically friendly and helpful staff. Located on the edge of Thamel and an easy stroll to restaurants, bars and shops. Rooms are spacious and spotless. There's a rooftop terrace. Garden restaurant and bar. It's our second stay. Consistent over the past 2 years as well.

great location with number one staff in the heart of thamel with buffet breakfast. i've been there two time with my group in one year. i think hotel buddha worth it to value money and i recommend it.

Comfortable, clean rooms made our stay enjoyable. A good breakfast with a good choice of hot and cold food make a good start to the day. We used Hotel Buddha as a base for exploring Kathmandu and will do so again. The manager and staff have always been helpful and friendly when we have stayed here. Thank you 😊.

The hotel was centrally located and easy to get to. The staffs were cooperative and very friendly. The hotel was very clean with comfortable beds and hot water in the shower. The WiFi was great as well. I loved the nice open garden where they had a breakfast buffet with live omelette station included with the price. I would definitely stay here again. Overall it was a great value for money and the service beyond my expectation.

The hotel location is very good, just in the centre, 10 minutes to Garden of Dreams and little more walk to the Royal Palace,which is worth it to go! Its easy to get to Rani Pokhari and Durbar square too. Breakfast is very nice and the meals from the menu are tasty. The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel manager took care well about us and he arranged a very good driver for one day sightseeing tour so we managed to visit many places in one day. He also organised a very very great and experienced driver for taking us around Nepal in few days. The best idea ever. We would never reach any place driving on our own. Seriously! Thank you !

Location just along from an old favourite hotel of mine. Right in the centre of Thamel. Great buffet breakfast in the tranquil garden at the back. Great breakfast of bacon, sausage and loads of others (can be a little cold if you have breakfast later '9am' like me. Freshly cooked, to order, eggs -fried, omelette, scrambled. Fresh orange juice, ample coffee, fresh fruit salad & toast. You literally step into the hayhem and chaos of Thamel a few seconds from the reception. Room was great - 2 large bottles of water every day, bed made up and free toiletries. Very attentive staff from reception, porters, waiting staff, room service, etc..

What we liked most was the staff and location. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We arrived early and there was no fuss about entering our room early. Also liked the fact that there was no elevator and we needed to walk up the stairs to our room - thought that was a bonus for us. Everyone was cheerful. It was the perfect place to start our vacation. We wanted to be near a specific location (Chabad House )- and this was just unbelievably close. Breakfast looked okay but all we ate was a banana.
